Cains, has put its support behind the island’s newest children’s theatre company, with a £1000 donation.
‘Hello Little People’, a vision which originated the height of the pandemic by professional actors Michelle James and Chloe Shimmin, aims to bring Manx stories to life through music, movement and laughter.
Hello Little People is currently the only theatre company dedicated to children and focusses on creating a unique, one of a kind theatre experience following the stories of the ‘Little People’ and other well-known characters from Manx myths and folklore.
Peter Clucas, Managing Director of Cains, said: “At Cains, we are committed to supporting the local community in which we live and work and we are delighted to be able to support Michelle and Chloe to continue to develop the concept of Hello Little People. The duo have some very exciting ideas for the future and we hope our contribution will help them bring joy to as many children as possible following a year of such uncertainty.”
Chloe Shimmin from Hello Little People, said: “We are delighted to have received this donation from Cains. Donations like this are incredibly valuable and will not only help us with our upcoming show Juan and the Beanstalk, this Christmas, but will help us secure the future of the company.
