Cains, through its staff-led fund-raising initiatives, has recently donated a number of Lego sets for the Family Library’s very popular afterschool Lego Club.
As part of being a friendly and welcoming place for children in the community, the Lego after school club runs every Friday at the Family Library from 3.30pm to 5.00pm and allows children to create, build and interact with each other. There are currently over 60 children signed up to the after-school Lego club and children of all ages are welcome to attend.
Under 4’s build with Duplo, those aged 4-7 use Classic Lego and there are Lego sets for the more advanced aged 7+.
Over the past few months, Cains has developed a strong relationship with the Family Library, supporting many of its initiatives including its Family Bingo night. This latest donation is a result of Cains staff undertaking numerous fund-raising activities to raise funds to support the expansion of the charities Lego collection, enabling them to increase its capacity to help more children and families to discover, play and learn.
Director Scott Leonard-Morgan stated, “It is a real delight to see the children enjoying the Family Library and its many offerings and we’re proud to support such a vital resource. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, we have been able to donate additional Lego sets to the after-school club and for many more children to enjoy.”
