Cains is an internationally renowned independent offshore law firm at the forefront of maintaining the Isle of Man as a premier international finance centre.
We are looking for qualified lawyers to join our busy commercial litigation team. We are open to applications from both junior and senior advocates. We would consider applications from lawyers in other commonwealth jurisdictions looking to re-locate to the Isle of Man to re-qualify.
Our litigation team advise on a wide range of dispute related matters, including complex commercial cases, shareholder disputes, director duties, trust disputes, civil fraud and asset tracing, insolvency and liquidations, banking disputes and financial services and regulatory matters.
The role on offer will be varied, interesting and challenging. As a member of our team you will provide assistance to Cains in relation to the delivery of our varied services, without limitation to include: the provision of accurate and comprehensive technical and strategic legal advice to our clients; the running and case management of your own files and case load; the provision of assistance to more senior advocates, as directed, helping to manage the progression of the senior advocates’ case load; legal research and preparation of briefing notes; attending client meetings and calls and taking/circulating notes of the same; drafting of court papers and applications; assisting with disclosure and document management projects.
