September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day, a global movement to raise awareness and inspire action around suicide prevention.
Often a taboo subject, the Samaritans work tirelessly to help those facing dark times. This year, they are focusing on the theme that “Suicide is not inevitable. You can interrupt someone’s suicidal thoughts. You could save a life.”
Check their website for practical advice on how to interrupt someone’s suicidal thoughts. It could be the one thing that makes a difference.
Cains’ Charity Committee will be donating to the Samaritans to mark WSPD. Thanks to our baking enthusiast, we encouraged our team to grab a home-made biscuit and check in with a colleague.
